As we look toward 2017, we start thinking of family vacation and travel goals. Cyber Monday can be a great time to score a deal. Here’s a quick rundown of some of the deals to consider with your travel professional.
Flight Deals. Getting a good deal on flights is often one of the biggest hurdles to traveling. Cyber Monday is a great time to check if the destination you are looking at is a featured sale among one of the airlines. But you will need to be somewhat flexible with your plans, as these type of deals are very date specific. Good news, some of the most popular travel destinations are on sale via Alaska Airlines. For those wanting to travel to Disneyland, flight from Seattle to LAX are going for $59 each way! And flights to Orange County are on sale for $83 each way. If you want to get a Walt Disney World vacation (or Disney Cruise) planned for the first time, you can get a $119 flight from San Diego to Orlando. Other great vacation flights on sale are Seattle to Houston for $114 (nearby Galveston is a major cruise port to get a great deal on), Seattle to Chicago for $119, Seattle to Boston $134, Seattle to Atlanta or New York (JKF) for $139, and many of the most popular spots in Mexico are being sold for around $209 or less.
Princess Cruise Line. Princess Cruise Line is offering deposits of only $1. You read that correct. One of the biggest hurdles can be the initial deposits and now you can do this for only a dollar. If you want to cruise soon, they also are offering $1,000 off cabins on select Winter/Spring 2017 cruises. If you want to travel later, your cruise might be eligible for room upgrades, free gratuities and onboard credit. Princess Cruise Line is a great cruise line, so definitely talk to your travel agent about what might be best for you. But according to their website, this is for today only!
Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. One of the premier cruise lines for families is also having a great sale. First, they are offering 50% off deposits. Then they are offering 50% of the fare of the second guest. After that, they are offering 25% off the third and fourth guest. This is a lot of savings for family. On top of all of that, they are offering up to $300 onboard credit as well. As with all cruise deals, check the dates and sailings to see if your desired cruise qualifies.
Viking River Cruises. Ready to see Europe? River cruising might be the best way to see and experience our friends across the pond. Viking River Cruises is offering free flight to Europe for bookings made through Nov 30th. That’s a big savings right up front. Additionally, you can a free beverage package, a $400 onboard credit or prepaid onboard gratuities. I’d pick the gratuities if it were me. Send me an email and ask me more about the benefits of seeing Europe via a river cruise, they are quite extraordinary and a great savings.
Marriott Hotels. Members of the Marriott Rewards Program qualify to book rooms for as low as $79 a night. Signing up is free and easy. Marriott Hotels represent a variety of brands including Fairfield Inn & Suites, Sheraton, The Ritz Carlton and many, many more. If you know of some travel happening soon, you and your travel agent can make sure to get a good deal at some great hotels.
Norwegian Cruise Line. Another great cruise line with great deals. They begin their promotion with $50 deposits, which is a great start. They also have a system that depending on the room type you choose, you can pick from one to five of the following as well:
1. Unlimited Open Bar
2. Pre-Paid Service Charges
3. Specialty Dining
5. Friends & Family Sail Free
There are a few restrictions on some of those, be sure to discuss your cruise plans with your travel professional and figure out what is best for your family.
Disney Cruise Line. While Disney isn’t having any specific Cyber Monday deals, they do have some last minute cruise fares that are worth considering. Inside cabins are starting at $839 per person for a 7 night Western Caribbean Cruise out of Galveston on Dec 2nd. Out of Miami, there is a 7 night Eastern Caribbean cruise leaving December 11th with Oceanview cabins starting at $1183 per person. If you want something a bit shorter to start with, you can take a 3 night out of Miami for just $399 per person departing January 8th.
