Mark your calendars: Monday, July 15th kicks off Amazon Prime Day which runs through July 16th, exclusively for Prime members! While it’s hard to know exactly what kind of deals we’ll find until July 15th is here, I did find some details on Amazon to share with you:
- Spotlight Deals. These deals will be on “top brands and popular items” and Amazon is promising they will be the best deals during Prime Day.
- Lightning Deals. While Amazon always offers Lightning Deals (deals that run on schedule and may sell out “lightning” fast), my guess is that they will offer many more of them on July 15th and 16th, similar to what we’d expect around peak holiday shopping time (such as Black Friday and Cyber Week).
- Prime Savings and Deals. These offers will be good all day on July 15th and 16th for Prime members. I take that to mean you won’t have to hurry and jump on them the same way you might with lightning deals. However, I’ve seen popular Gold Box deals sell out before, and I always think it’s a good idea to note that prices on Amazon can change and that items can be “while supplies last.”
This year some deals will actually start on July 15th at midnight PT / 3 am ET.
The most important thing I want to emphasize about this sale is that it is for Amazon Prime Members only. If you are not a Prime member, this would be an excellent time to sign up! You can start a FREE 30-day trial and still take advantage of this event.
I don’t generally push memberships because I often feel the benefit is more to the merchant than the consumer, but I can tell you – Prime is a huge exception for me. My husband and I have been Prime members for years and it completely pays for itself. I would say the feature I take advantage of the most is the free 2-day shipping. We also do access some of the movies and shows. As a Prime member, I will also be paying attention to this sale, to see if there is anything I’ve got in my Wish List that hits an all-time price low!
I’d love to hear from you. Is your curiosity piqued? What kinds of items are you hoping will be featured on July 15th and 16th? Leave a comment below!
