Olive Garden: How to Score 6 Entrees, Soup, Salad, and Breadsticks for only $39!

One of my favorite deals at Olive Garden is back! It’s toward the end of the school year here in Western Washington and it has just been go-go-go, so this deal is just what I like to put dinner on the table! Plus, with this deal we end up with dinner for one night and lunch the next day!

For a limited time only, Olive Garden is offering Buy One Meal, Take One Meal. There is no coupon necessary. Here are the participating “buy one” meals, starting from $14.99:

  • Spaghetti with Meat Sauce
  • Five Cheese Ziti
  • Fettuccine Alfredo
  • Cheese Ravioli with Marinara
  • Creamy Garlic Tuscan Chicken
  • Lasagna Classico
  • Shrimp Scampi

If you dine in, you get unlimited soup, salad and breadsticks (they are included in your to-go just not unlimited). However, I think the deal is even better if you opt for a “to go” order because you can stack promo code 5OFFTG and save $5 off when you spend $40!

I stopped into my local Fred Meyer since I needed to pick up some cards when I noticed there were two offers running! I decided to grab the qualifying items to give it a try, and to my surprise it worked great!

The first offer I noticed was this: save $5 on your next shopping trip when you spend $10 on select greeting cards in a single transaction. (This is a catalina that would print out).

Target Toy/Baby Clearance Report: Select Toys/ Baby Items 50% Off!

Twice a year, once in January and then again in July, we tend to find that toys go on clearance at Target. Bargain shoppers tend to get really excited when they hit 70%. These will start anywhere from 15-30%, and move up incrementally to 50% and then 70%.

Please understand that this is not an advertised sale. Given that, pricing and selection is going to vary from store to store. Additionally, individual stores may vary in when and where they place clearance items. This year I have also spotted quite a few baby items too!

I stopped by my Target (Federal Way) and wanted to report what I spotted.

Toy & Sporting Goods Clearance

How do you spot clearance? Keep an eye out for these yellow signs. However, all of the signs I encountered were incorrect. Even though this sign stated “30% off,” all of the items I found on these shelves were 50% and 70% off! There are two ways you can know for certain: 1) check out the tags on the individual items. In the upper hand corner will say 15, 30, 50 or 70. In item will often go on deeper and deeper discount. 2) You can always use the price scanners found at the end of many aisles throughout the store.

My store had a whole aisle dedicated to the clearance items.

Little Tikes Stem Jr. Set for $12.48 –  50% off!

Target: Summer Toy Clearance 2018 Update

In January and July, Target typically moves select toys up to 70% off clearance. This is not an advertised sale (so don’t bother scanning the ads for it), however it is widely anticipated among bargain shoppers and bloggers alike. The 70% off discount may happen at different stores at different times, but generally by mid-month to end of the month most stores will be at 70%. Once this happens, stuff flies!

First, let me provide some general tips about snagging some of these great deals:

  • Watch the toys that are discounted 30% off: These are the ones that will eventually move to 50% (almost all the ones I came across are already this except Legos), and then 70% (provided they don’t sell out).
  • Figure out where the clearance is in your store: At my Federal Way store, clearance toys are scattered throughout the toy aisles and end caps, I even found a couple of end caps by the electronics.
  • Check individual discounts: See the signs above indicating toys were 30% clearance? Upon closer inspection and scanning, I found almost all at 50% and even a couple at 70%. On the yellow clearance tags, you’ll find a 15, 30, 50, or 70 in the upper right hand corner. That is the discount that particular item has been reduced by.  If you have time I suggest you scan, scan, scan because prices can differ from the tag (please also put the toys back where you found them, rather then scattered by the scanners I saw baskets full by the scanners).

I was able to visit the Federal Way store and here is what I found, I also found some summer items at 50% off as well such as furniture, pillows, and outdoor lights too.

While this sign says 30% off, it’s actually all 50% off! Make sure and check the yellow clearance stickers instead of the signs! Those ride on cars were $17 (Reg. $34).

This was an end cap in the electronics department, so make sure and walk around the store, this sign is also says 15%, but everything on was 30 – 50% off.
