How to Save Money on Airport Parking

I used to just ask friends or family to give us a ride when we needed a trip to the airport.

However, it’s not always easy to find someone willing or happy to give you a lift at say, 4 am in the morning so you can fly to Hawaii on your vacation.

We’ve also opted for shuttle service, but this can run about $40-$50 one way for our family of four + tip.

About a year ago, I decided to do a little investigating to see if there was a better way to save on this travel expense.

After doing some research, I found several parking lots nearby the airport that offer shuttle service, and by making your reservation online, you can save even more money!

(Now this might be old news to many of my frequent flyers out there, but for what it’s worth, I wanted to share it in case you are a light traveler or were unaware of this option.)

I’ve used the Airport Parking Reservations site a couple times now. I’m not going to lie, at first I was a little like…is this legit? It seems super cheap, plus they offer a free airport shuttle and security?

The positive reviews ended up pushing me over the edge to making my first booking. As you can tell from the search results, there are plenty of options at a variety of price points!

When I did the math, we came out way ahead on both trips parking at the discounted lot over using a shuttle service.

And as both flights were very early, we spared our friends and family the inconvenience of lugging us all to the airport!

  1. We 100% always use Park N Jet 2…we reserve online and it always seems to average $6/day. Amazingly friendly staff, very secure…have used them at least 10 times and always entirely pleased!
