Fetch Rewards Review

In this Fetch Rewards Review, I’ll explain how Fetch Rewards works, how to get started earning and redeeming points, and share some thoughts about my own personal experience with Fetch Rewards.

What Is Fetch Rewards?

Fetch Rewards is an easy-to-use mobile app that allows you to earn points on any receipt from any store or restaurant. You can then redeem these points for gift cards and other rewards.

As with many companies these days, it’s all about the data. Brands and companies want to know your shopping habits, so they incentivize consumers to give them data that they can then use to make a game plan for their operation.

Fetch Rewards partners with nearly 500 brands that pay Fetch Rewards for this data. They, in turn, give you some of that money via gift card rewards.

How to Get Started with Fetch Rewards

The Fetch Rewards app is available for free on both the App Store and Google Play.

The easiest way to find the Fetch Rewards app is by clicking HERE and entering your phone number. You’ll then receive a text with a link to download the app for free.

This way you won’t even need to search for it, and you’ll be certain that you’re downloading the correct app.

Once you’ve downloaded the app, you’ll need to sign up for an account. When you’re all set up, it’s time to get earning!

How to Earn Points

Fetch Rewards is mostly known as a receipt scanning app, but there are actually numerous ways to earn points on Fetch Rewards. When considering point values, think of it as 1,000 points = $1 (or so).

Submit Receipts

You’ll receive a minimum of 25 points in your Fetch Rewards account whenever you snap and submit a receipt. Receipts can be submitted from many stores, including grocery stores, fast food restaurants, and clothing retailers.

To get started, tap the orange circle at the bottom of the screen when you open the app. Tap the “Snap” button, then let the app access your camera so you can take clear pictures of your receipt.

Follow the instructions on the app to take pictures correctly, then tap the “Submit” button when you’re finished to turn in your receipt. Be sure to submit clear pictures of the receipt with the store name, total spent, and date visible.

Once submitted, your receipt should be processed within 24 hours, although most are done much more quickly – even within seconds! This is a refreshing change from other apps that make you wait much longer to see your earnings.

Please note: You are currently limited to a maximum of 35 receipts submitted within 7 days.

Submit eReceipts

eReceipts is what sets Fetch Rewards apart from the other coupon apps. Yes, you can earn points on online purchases, not just the ones you make in-store that give you a paper receipt!

To earn points, you’ll need to connect eReceipts on your Fetch Rewards account by giving them access to your email and/or Amazon account.

Once you’re properly connected, tap the orange circle at the bottom of the screen when you open the app. This time you’ll tap “eReceipt.” Fetch Rewards will scan your emails for online purchase information, then reward you accordingly.

eReceipts must be submitted within 14 days from the transaction date listed on them. Amazon orders must be submitted within 30 days from the order’s ship date.

Now, you can’t earn points from all online retailers, but the list is big and they’re continuing to add more to the list.

Some top retailers include Amazon, Apple, Best Buy, Costco, Doordash, eBay, Etsy, Groupon, Home Depot, IKEA, Instacart, Kohl’s, Lowe’s, Macy’s, Office Depot, Old Navy, Sam’s Club, Shipt, Staples, Target, Walmart, and lots more!

Fetch Rewards special offers

Redeem Special Offers

Tap the “Discover” button in your app to see special offers available to you. With these, you’ll earn points when you purchase specific products.

For example, right now I’m seeing an offer that offers me 100% back in points when I buy a certain brand of ice cream bars. After I submit my receipt, I’ll earn back the coordinating number of points in my account.

So, if the ice cream bars cost me $3.50, I’ll get 3,500 points added to my account once I scan and submit my receipt!

Sometimes a special offer is as simple as scanning a receipt if you’ve been inactive for a while. Can you say EASY?!

Buy Popular Brands

You’ll earn points on every receipt you scan with Fetch Rewards, but you’ll earn even more when you buy products from select brands that partner with Fetch Rewards (almost 500 right now!).

Popular brands include Cascadian Farm, Finish, Huggies, Starbucks, Pepsi, and lots more.

These point values aren’t explicitly listed, but you’ll see the extra points when you scan and submit your receipt or process your e-receipt. You’ll typically earn anywhere from 250 – 3,000 points when purchasing these brands!

Join Clubs

Fetch Rewards currently has two opportunities available to earn points when you sign up for a brand’s rewards program through the app.

PepsiCo Tasty Rewards
The first is PepsiCo Tasty Rewards which is a loyalty program that gives users access to exclusive special offers for PepsiCo products.

You’ll earn and redeem points as normal, but by signing up for this extra program, you’ll receive special offers that other Fetch Rewards users won’t get.

PepsiCo includes Pepsi, of course, but also brands like Aquafina, Bubly, Frito-Lay, Lipton, Smartfood, Starbucks, Tropicana, and more.

Huggies Rewards+
The second is Huggies Rewards+ which is a loyalty program that rewards you for purchasing Huggies products.

You’ll earn points for purchasing Huggies products and completing special offers as normal. In addition, the final price you pay on Huggies products will be credited to a tracker in Huggies Rewards+.

Each time you hit a tracker in the milestone, you’ll earn extra bonus points!

Refer Friends

As you get more familiar with the app, you’ll want to share it with others. Get others to sign up with your unique referral code and they’ll receive 2,000 points when they sign up. You’ll also receive 2,000 points.

Sometimes Fetch Rewards offers referral bonus periods in which you can earn up to 4,000 points per person you refer who signs up for the app!

There is NO LIMIT to how many referral bonuses you can earn, so get crackin’!

How to Redeem Points

Now that you’ve earned your points, it’s time to spend them! Tap the “Rewards” button in your app to see the rewards that are currently available.

You can also filter the results to only see the rewards that you can redeem right now, depending on how many points you have in your account.

Fetch Rewards has one of the lowest payout thresholds I’ve seen for coupon apps – you can get a gift card for as low as 3,000 points!

Choose your selected reward, then confirm that you want to redeem your points for that specific reward. Most of the time, you’ll get access to your e-gift card the same day.

Note: If it’s your first time getting a gift card, it may take up to 3 days to be processed.

How to Contact Fetch Rewards Customer Service

Before you contact Fetch Rewards customer service, you should know that you can correct your own receipts if you notice any errors once the receipt was processed.

To make corrections, tap the Activity button in the app to see your recent receipts. Find the one you need to correct and tap on it. Scroll to the bottom and tap Correct My Receipt to make any adjustments.

The app does a good job walking you through the process, but you can reach out to their customer service team for assistance with this and other issues.

Submit a ticket in the app under the “Me” tab, then select “Help Center” and “Contact Us.” Choose the issue that you’re currently having and write up a brief description of what’s going on.

Someone from their team should reach out to you shortly. If you can’t access the app, you can also email their team at [email protected].

Is Fetch Rewards Worth It?

Fetch Rewards is one of my most-used coupon apps. It is extremely easy to use, and I am all about e-a-s-y these days!

Here are a few reasons why I LOVE Fetch Rewards:

  • You don’t need to add offers in advance. All offers available in your account are automatically scanned for when you submit your receipts.
  • You can use it at ANY store or restaurant. Did you run through the drive-thru for lunch? Scan it. Make a quick trip to buy bananas and milk at the grocery store? Scan it.
  • eReceipts are a no-brainer. I shop online a LOT, and their eReceipts feature is a quick way for me to save with very little effort. Often submitting my e-receipts through Fetch Rewards is the only “couponing” I do in a week!

Of course, there are some things to consider with Fetch Rewards:

  • You’re giving them access to your data. As with any of these coupon apps, you’re giving the company information. I know that comfort levels can vary with this…it’s just something to consider.
  • Be sure to note the limitations. As mentioned earlier, Fetch Rewards limits how many receipts you can scan in 7 days. They also limit the timeframe in which you can submit a receipt. You’ll need to check in with the app at least every other week if you want to be sure you submit all your eligible receipts on time.
  • Use it or lose it. If you’re not using your account, it’ll become inactive after 91 days. Your points will expire after that time. But Fetch Rewards gives you plenty of notice that this is coming up. You’ll receive notifications via email and/or text before your points expire. Then you can just scan a receipt and keep your account active!

Also, some people prefer to receive rewards in the form of cold hard cash. I shop enough online that an Amazon gift card feels like a treat, but you could opt for a Visa Prepaid Card as a reward if you want a closer option to actual money.

Summary

Hopefully, this Fetch Rewards review helped convince you to give this free and easy-to-use app a try. They’re always rolling out new features to make this free app better, and I’m looking forward to seeing what they come up with next!
