Confession: I rarely to never buy workout clothes.
I find that I’m apt to wear my workout clothes to the threads. The other day I was going through my pile of old t-shirts and realized some of them are over 10 years old! I’m not sure what’s worse – the ratty t-shirts or the running shorts with elastic that is starting to crumble. Over the last several weeks, I’ve made a concerted effort to get back into running and I’ve even dropped 10 pounds training for (and completing!), a 12K! I decided, what better time to buy a few new pieces to feel good about myself while I hit the gym or the track.
While you may be inclined to just buy the name brands, can I encourage you to check out their store brand, Cascade Sport? I was surprised by the quality, the price, and the cuteness. I’ve had my eye on these adorable ruched running shirts for awhile now. And for $9.99, I knew I had to try them on!
These Cascade Sport sports bras are just $12.99. I love all the colors they had available! They also had running shorts in a variety of colors for the same $12.99 price.
I loaded up my cart with shirts, shorts, and capris and headed to the fitting room to try on a few outfits. Ready to see some of my favorites? In case you’re wondering how some of these items may look on you, I’m an average-sized gal (5’6″ and a size 8-10). Most of what I’m trying on today was either size medium or large (but they have a range of sizes available). I’m also sharing with you the prices current during the time of my visit – yours may vary slightly. There was also no Apparel coupon the week of my visit, but Fred Meyer often puts these out. Obviously, that would positively impact your final price, too!
Jockey Pants: $22.80
Cascade Sport Shirt: $9.99

One thing that surprised me was the selection of cold-weather running gear Fred Meyer sold! I’m going to remember this when the temps start dropping as I’m running a half marathon in January which will mean cold-weather training runs! I loved the diagonal cut of these pants and the hood on the running shirt – perfect if it starts raining.
Cascade Sport Top: ~ $22
Cascade Sport Capris: ~ $22
Total look: ~ $44
In this photo, I’m wearing the $12.99 Cascade Sport running shorts. They feel comfortable, plus I like the color!

I totally bought this Jockey running skirt! The color made me smile and the fit was perfect. During my visit, Jockey athletic wear was on sale for 30% off, too. I’m not sure that I’d wear this shirt with the skirt, but it goes to show you can still look feminine in the gym!

I wanted to show you how cute that ruched Cascade Sport shirt looks on! You know what I loved about it? It hides any lumps and bumps you might have – it’s super flattering. I ended up buying two (and may be back to buy more). This shirt is wayyy cuter than those ratty old t-shirts I’ve been running in.

I adored this Cascade Sport hoodie – it really makes the outfit, don’t you think? During my visit, Cascade Sport was on sale by 30%. That would drop the price of this hoodie to $31. I found them hanging up on the wall, next to the Cascade Sport sports bras and shirts. (Total look – capris, shirt, hoodie: $63.79.)
