If you have an Albertsons in your neck of the woods, consider yourself blessed! While their regular prices tend to run on the high side, they offer sales like no other. Plus that, they have a terrific coupon policy. Currently, my local store accepts manufacturers’ coupons, store coupons (in the weekly ad), Internet coupons, and up to 10 competitor coupons per transaction (e.g., Safeway, Fred Meyer, etc.). Marry their coupon policy with their rockin’ sales, and you’ve got a match made in money-saving heaven!
From now until next Tuesday, they are running a special: buy 10 participating items, get $10 off your next order. Included in this deal are select varieties of Progresso Soup. Now I’m pretty picky when it comes to canned clam chowder, and I have to say, I really think their version is pretty good!
The other cool thing is you can use coupons and still get your $10 off coupon! Before heading out to the store, I found some pretty terrific Progresso Soup coupons here. There is a $2 off 4 coupon and a $1 off 2 coupon. You can print each coupon up to two times by using your browser’s back button.
Here’s how my transaction broke down today. I bought 10 cans of Progresso Soup for $1.50 each on sale. That brought my total to $15.00. I then used 2 of the $2 off 4 coupons and a $1 off 2 coupon – basically saving me $5 off 10. So my out-of-pocket total was $10. I then received a $10 off my next order coupon. I basically scored these for free! Good deal!
A couple notes on the $10 off your next order coupons…you can turn around and use them immediately. And unless the coupon states otherwise, you can use them on any other grocery purchase. So if you needed to buy other groceries, I’d recommend you do two separate transactions to keep your out-of-pocket expense low. First, buy the soup for $10 and get your $10 coupon. Then, in a second transaction, apply that $10 coupon to the rest of your grocery bill. Make sense?
To find out if your Albertsons is participating and if so, which items are part of this deal, head to their website.
Well I’m off to enjoy a big bowl of soup!
