If you’re looking for a simple, but delicious recipe for the holidays, think brownies! These from-scratch brownies are perfect for your next holiday party and they are easy to make. Here’s what you’ll need.

For the Brownies

  • ½ cup of melted butter
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup of flour
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • ¼ teaspoon of baking powder
  • cooking spray

For the Frosting

  • 2 sticks of unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon of mint extract
  • 5 ½ cups of powdered sugar
  • 1-2 tablespoons of milk
  • green food dye

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

In a large bowl mix together butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.

Sift in dry ingredients. Mix ingredients together.

Next, spray your mini cupcake pan with cooking spray and put about a tablespoon of the brownie batter into each cavity. Bake brownies for 10-12 minutes or until toothpick comes clean.
While your brownies are cooling down, get to work on your frosting! In a large bowl add in butter and with an electric mixer, cream butter for about 5 minutes until white and creamy.

In small batches, add in sugar. Whisk again for 2-3 minutes. Continue until all sugar is used.

Add in 1 tablespoon of milk and desired amount of green food dye. Whisk again and if you’d like it a little thinner, add another tablespoon of milk, but it should be firm.

Make sure your brownies are cooled completely before decorating with frosting and decorate with holiday sprinkles.
