No doubt, many of you are planning parties to cheer on the Huskies for this Saturday’s game against Alabama! And you can’t have a football game without food.

I decided to pop by Main & Vine to see what items I could find that would be perfect for a football party. Here’s what I found:

As soon as you walk in the store, you’ll find these beautiful party platters on display in the deli. I have to say, these are some of the nicest ones I’ve seen!

I thought the prices were quite reasonable, too.

Right next to the platters, I found an assortment of dips, including salsas and guac.

Inclined to make your own guac? Avocados are on sale this week for just $0.99 each.

How awesome are these Husky football cookies I found in the bakery? Even better, they’re made by a local bakery.

If you need some inspiration (or help!), make sure to pop by the deli. They have beautiful salads, grilled veggies, and meat all prepared that would be perfect for your party.

I LOVE the Brown Sugar Bourbon from Heritage Distilling (Gig Harbor). It’s great in a mixed drink, but it’s also excellent served on its own.

If you’d prefer non-alcoholic beverages, check out the soda aisle. Main & Vine has a great selection of specialty sodas!

How about some grape Jones soda to add a splash of purple color?

I found these Isernio’s Premium Sausages and think they’d be great, served grilled up!

You could also go the seafood route! I found whole Dungeness Crab for $6.99/lb – however, since snapping that photo, I see it’s gone down in price to $5.99/lb through January 3rd.

Now here’s a route you might not have considered: turkey. I found whole fresh turkey for just $0.69/lb – including the Simple Truth Natural brand! Folks, that’s a crazy good deal for fresh turkey.

This is a great time of year to find citrus. Main & Vine was carrying my absolute favorite lemons – Meyer lemons and key limes. These lemons and limes make the best desserts because they are super sweet. (I’ve even eaten the Meyer lemons raw!) They’d also be great in drinks or salads.

One final suggestion: pizza! Main & Vine makes the best pizza. It’s absolutely delicious! Call Main & Vine at (253)432-7116 and ask for the deli to place an order, if you’re expecting a crowd.

If you’re planning a trip, I can’t stress it enough: you need to download the app! I found several offers on the app today that would pair well with the items above:
