I was really excited when the team at Papa Murphy’s reached out to me to review a special pizza they’d be offering for a limited-time only this summer. It’s a BBQ Chicken Pizza featuring KC Masterpiece®!
Now, I’ve had a number of BBQ-type pizzas in my day, so I was genuinely curious how this one would stack up. When I went to my local Papa Murphy’s store, I did not disclose that I was a blogger doing a review. I wanted to receive the kind of pizza that any customer would receive walking in.
The photo above is the pizza I received. As you can see, it’s chock full of ingredients! I was pleasantly surprised! Even better, I felt that the price of $11 for a large was an incredibly good value for what you’re receiving.
What’s on it? I noted chicken, tomatoes, three kinds of onions (red, green & white), bacon and the delicious KC Masterpiece® BBQ sauce! It’s important to note that you can customize this pizza!
Got a vegetarian in the family? You could order half without meat. Not a fan of onions? Just ask to have them omitted. Papa Murphy’s has always been happy to accommodate my family’s requests. (Which is awesome, because I’ve got some picky eaters.)
Papa Murphy’s is excellent for busy families because you bake the pizza fresh in the oven when you’re ready. In fact, Papa Murphy’s is the world’s largest take ‘n bake pizza brand! I’ve sometimes picked up pizzas out while running errands that I heated up for dinner later that evening.
For this pizza, I heated the oven to 425°, and it was done in about 15 minutes. Man, was our kitchen smelling delicious when I pulled it from the oven!
I can honestly say that this was the very best Papa Murphy’s pizza I’ve ever had. Yes – it was that good! I loved how it was so full of toppings and the KC Masterpiece® BBQ Sauce was delicious.
My husband said “wow!” when I handed him his plate. We really have nothing bad to say about this pizza and I’m planning on buying it again in the very near future. This is saying a lot coming from us, because we’re pretty regular pizza eaters over here.
