Have you ever wandered down the freezer aisle of your grocery store and noticed that sorbet brand with the unicorn? Well, it’s called SorBabes, and I’m gonna tell you all about what makes this dairy-free dessert delicious and awesome.
First, you should know that it’s a great, plant-based alternative to ice cream. This means you can enjoy a sweet treat if you’re vegan, dairy-free, or just looking for a lower-calorie treat option. It is also gluten-free and contains no GMO ingredients. It’s also kosher! Best of all, it’s made with actual, real fruit – not artificial flavors.
It’s carried at select retailers, including Fred Meyer:
It took me a little while to locate it because I wasn’t sure if my store would carry it in the Nutrition Section or regular frozen aisle. Turns out, it was in the regular frozen aisle. (Tip: to save time, head to fredmeyer.com, login to your account, and search for “SorBabes.” It will tell you which aisle you can find it at your store! Or, of course, ask an associate!)
I was excited by the flavor options, but one instantly stood out to me (and my husband, since I had to call and ask his opinion): Pistachio & Caramel! I’m a big fan of pistachio in general, and I don’t think I’d ever seen it paired with caramel before.
But of course, I couldn’t settle on just one, so I also ended up with “Passionilla” in my cart (it’s a fusion of passion fruit + vanilla chips). I couldn’t wait to dig into this stuff as soon as I got home!
Getting hungry yet?
Love at first bite. The Pistachio & Caramel flavor is only 110 calories per serving and it’s dairy free? Color me impressed.
