I wanted to give you a big “heads up” about one of my favorite local gardening events: the Tilth Alliance’s Edible Plant Sale! In past years, they’ve had a HUGE selection of edibles including many varieties of herbs, tomatoes, peppers, flowers, veggies, and more. They also have had food trucks, demonstrations, and other local vendors on hand to explore.
The picture above was from a few years ago when I brought my kids to this sale. We got to explore some of the community gardens. Man, my kids were so little! Sigh!
A few additional details about the sale:
- Shop early for the best selection. They also offer “early bird” access to the sale for $25 or in exchange for volunteering at the event.
- Plant lists will be available at the website soon. This will help you plan ahead.
- It may be helpful to bring a small garden wagon or carton for easy shopping.
- They will accept cash, credit, and even EBT/food stamps.
