It’s time for a monthly installment of Stuff I didn’t know… until I went to Costco. This series highlights deals, for sure – but also just those flashy, fun, and beautiful things that may catch your eye while perusing the aisles.
In no particular order, I’d like to share some of the things that I found during this morning’s trip. These were spotted at the Federal Way, Washington store. I’d love to know if you’ve found these items at your store too.
The first item I want to share with you are these Disposaware To Go’s. There are 30 sets for $3.97 and these are perfect for meal prep and toting leftovers to work. Nina actually shared this deal on our Instagram account a couple weeks ago, so I was definitely watching for it during my trip today! Both the Costco employees commented on these as I went through checkout and said they were awesome! Apparently this item is one of those that they said they will not be restocking (hence the low price). Given this, I recommend you snag a package or two if you’re interested. I certainly did.
My store has really ramped up the stock of toys for the holidays. This doll stroller for $29.99 really caught my eye! It has 3 different ways it can open up.
This Little People Playset struck me as a good deal! You get the bus, the plane, and 4 characters for $19.99
Melissa and Doug Deluxe Pet Care Playset (32 pieces) for $26.99. It contains Pet Vet, Grooming & Feeding Supplies.
PlayDoh Set Kitchen, 40 pieces, for just $19.99.
My Costco store still had some of these 2018 Beer Advent Calendars available. I guess they are quite popular and may well sell out quick. They feature 24 different imported German beers. There is also a related app so you can learn about each of the beers. It sells for $65.99.
These building books are just $11.49. They contain everything you need to make complete models (train, human body, dinosaur), etc. Wouldn’t these make fun holiday gifts for kids?
2-pack of Wool Blend Beanies, $14.99. I picked these up because these always seem to go missing during the chilly hours.
Set of 6 Crabtree Hand Lotions for $12.99. That works out to $2.17 each. Maybe these would be great for adding to handbags and backpacks – or gifting in Stockings?
Filtrete Air Filters for $29.99. When’s the last time you changed your air filter?
Key Finder for $29.99. Apparently this will help those of us that lose our keys often to find them in a pinch! My suggestion instead: find a better system for organizing your keys.
Cute notebooks, 3 pack for $13.49.
Set of 4 dog Nylabones for $11.49 with instant manufacturer’s rebate. That works out to just $2.87 per bone.
Party Pack of Thanksgiving-themed plates and napkins for $13.49. This serves 50! I love how nice and big the plates are.
Speaking of Thanksgiving… the bakery had this pack of 3 delicious-looking pumpkin rolls for $12.99 ($4.33 per roll!).
And… Pumpkin Spice Cookie Batons (from Starbucks) for $9.99.
Spanish Saffron for $10.98.
This Spanish Ham absolutely caught my eye today! It’s $99, so probably not the most frugal family dinner (HA!), BUT it comes with a stand and knife! How cool would this look for your next dinner party? A few other things (just taken from the package): it’s gluten an lactose free (well, duh… it’s ham!), also minimally processed, no artificial ingredients and no added nitrates. If you end up buying or trying it, I’d love to hear. I’m also curious how it looks outside of the box!
Ziploc Variety Pack – Gallon, Sandwich, Snack, and Quart – 347 pieces in total for just $10.69 after instant rebate. Also note the cute Nutcracker holiday theme!
I do believe this is another price drop item – Ziploc Seahawks Party Pack for just $3.97. It contains 20 slider bags and 2 small round containers.
This 17-piece German Steel Knife Block Set is selling for $199.99. It’s stuff like this that honestly tempts me when shopping at Costco. I mean, a new knife set isn’t something that’s been on my mind, but when I see something this flashy, I start thinking “gee, maybe I need some new knives? After all, we’ve had our set for over 15 years.” And then I start thinking, “how long should knives last anyways? I wonder if most people replace them after 5 years? 10 years?” This is the kind of thinking that I do at Costco, and I bet I’m not alone. (PS – I did not buy the knives!)
These sheets were oh-so-very soft! For $29.99, the queen set includes a fitted sheet, flat sheet, 2 pillow cases and 2 flannel pillow cases.
Beautiful 6-piece oven-to-table serve set for about $24.99.
This has got to be the most amazing toilet I’ve seen. You’d hope it’d be amazing given the fact it’s $999.99!
These water bottles are STILL in stock, and I really recommend you consider snagging some for your kiddos if you haven’t yet! They are $9.99 for 2 (so that works out to $4.99 apiece) and they are just the best. They keep your cold beverages truly cold, and I love the smaller size – they are the perfect size for going in a backpack and my daughter loves bringing them to cross country practice. Oh, can we just talk about how cute they are too?
Women’s running gloves are back in stock! They are $9.99 right now and yup, I totally grabbed myself a new pair. They work great and also have touchscreen pads.
Super cool wood and iron lazy susan for $29.99. I was tempted by this today, thinking it would be cool on my dining room table, but I ultimately didn’t buy it. I’ll sleep on it and see if I’m still thinking about it in a couple days from now.
Ready to see what I spent today?
I spent a total of $84.84 on bottled water and Gatorade, some French bread, the food storage, chips, hats, running gloves, sweatpants, and a rotisserie chicken for today’s Crockpot soup. I’m pleased with what I got, and what I got! For more posts in this series and other top Costco posts, just head on over to my Costco page.
