I kept seeing this Value Village post pop up on my Facebook feed, so I decided to click on it today. Turns out, it’s pretty neat. When you host a clothing drive and bring the donations to Value Village, you can earn money for your non-profit organization! This could be really useful if you’re looking for extra ways to raise funds for your PTA, youth sports team, or cause.
Here’s how it works:
- Fill out the short form, including the organization you’re supporting.
- Promote and host your clothing drive. Value Village will even provide you with a toolkit that includes flyers and posters!
- Collect the items and then deliver to one of Value Village’s Community Donation Centers.
- Value Village will weight the items and mail you a check!
Now, if you’re like me, you’re probably wondering how much money you might expect to receive. Well, I noticed this graphic on Value Village’s website:
It reads “400 bags (13-gallon size) can equal up to $1,000.” Breaking the math down further, 40 bags could equal up to $100 or 4 bags, $10. Again, this is a maximum figure based on weight.
Curious to learn more? Check out Value Village. I’d love to know your thoughts on this promotion!
