20+ Apps like Wish To Save Money When Shopping Online

Wish is one of the largest online shopping sites that help you find virtually anything that’s sold online.

You might like Wish because of its clean interface and eye-popping pictures that make it easy to quickly locate the product you’re looking for.

If you like this style of shopping, you might enjoy trying other websites and apps like Wish that can help you save money online.

How Does Wish Work?

Maybe you’ve only heard about Wish and don’t know much about this discount shopping website that you might consider a souped-up online dollar store.

When you first access Wish, you will see a large selection of products that cost $20 or less. However, there are still plenty of recommendations for products in the $50 to $100 range.

Many online websites have recommendations or a daily deals section that shows deeply discounted products. The featured products may be based on your previous search history or they may show a few items from every category to pique your interest.

Wish does the same thing. You can search for products using their toolbar or browse the random suggestions, like when you walk the aisles at the grocery store.

Apps Like Wish

As you’ll see, other shopping apps like Wish can help you save money on the items you usually buy online too.

1. Dollar Tree

If you ever shop at your local dollar store, it’s most likely a Dollar Tree. You might like using Dollar Tree more; everything’s a buck, and you get free site-to-store shipping.

For many people, the mental sting of paying more for shipping than the product price is a dealbreaker. Because you have a local store, you can easily exchange or return the purchased items if they don’t meet your expectations.

Dollar Tree also offers home shipping, which can potentially be cheaper than the merchant shipping charges on Wish.

2. RoseGal

Men and women needing to buy clothes should inspect RoseGal for some stunning deals. Fashion accessories start at $1 and the most expensive items can cost around $100.

Most RoseGal orders qualify for free shipping, which is an added bonus because shipping is extra for Wish orders.

RoseGal carries many of the same products as Wish, so you can quickly compare prices before making a purchase.

You might prefer RoseGal because it can be easier to browse their wardrobe and their free shipping policy if the retail price is the same on both websites.

3. Dollar Shave Club

You might not trust just any razor that you buy online. Cheap razors can dull quickly or leave a 5 o’clock shadow before you leave for work. With Dollar Shave Club, you receive new razor cartridges each month for only $3, $6, or $9.

As you might guess from its namesake, it only costs $1 to receive your first razor.

Additional items they offer:

  • Shave butter
  • Sulfate-free shampoo
  • Toothbrush and toothpaste
  • Hair styling products

In a single box, you get all your essential hygiene supplies in one box. And, you can even schedule auto-ship so you never run out or are forced to get a cheap razor again.

4. AliExpress

AliExpress is an online storefront for China’s largest online retailer, Alibaba.

This site is similar to Amazon in appearance, but you can also scroll through pictures-only listings like Wish. Like Wish, each shipper sets their own shipping policies and prices.

If you need to return an item, you will need to communicate directly through the seller as AliExpress only facilitates the purchase.

As a comparison, it’s similar to buying from third-party vendors on Amazon that ship the products themselves.

If you need assistance, AliExpress offers 24/7 customer support and their buyer protection covers any purchases that don’t ship or miss their delivery date.

5. Fab

Fab is an upscale Wish app alternative for these items:

  • Home decor
  • Art
  • Tech
  • Gifts

Most items cost $50 or more for furnishings and wall hangings. It’s worth checking out Fab if you like collecting vinyl records, canvas prints, and modern decor.

This marketplace is more geared toward adults with their product offerings.

Shipping is free for orders $75 and up for mainland U.S. customers. Orders less than this amount will pay $5.95 which is still very reasonable considering these items can be large or bulky.

6. Keep

Just like Wish is an online shopping that connects you with private sellers, Keep connects you with quality brands you might already love, including:

  • Nordstrom
  • Kate Spade
  • Sephora
  • Under Armour

Keep specializes in women’s clothing and beauty items. You can also shop for home and gift items too.

If you like shopping name brands and buying directly from the company, Keep can be right up your alley. You can save on designer clothing without worrying about receiving knockoff items from unknown sellers.

7. Light In The Box

Another unique manufacturer direct e-commerce website like Wish is Light In The Box.

There are 11 different product categories, including wedding and prom dresses. Or, you might want to browse their selection of clothing, tech gadgets, and drones.

Two reasons why you might like Light In The Box is that they have a flash sale option and you earn rewards points that are 1% of each purchase.

By online shopping regularly at Light In The Box, your rewards points can save you money on future purchases.

8. Banggood

Banggood offers more than 200,000 that ship directly from the manufacturer. Free or low-cost shipping is available and depends on the seller.

For fast shipping, check the U.S. and EU warehouse deals so your purchase arrives sooner instead of later. And, you can save up to 70% on your purchase through Banggood’s special deals too.

One interesting feature of Banggood is that you can pre-order items that haven’t been released yet. Most other shopping apps like Wish might only let you buy items that are currently in stock.

To save extra money, Banggood also offers bulk purchasing. If you own a store or want to try out retail arbitrage, you can buy at least 300 pieces of one item to receive a volume discount.

9. Craigslist

Back in the early days of the Internet, the year 1995 to be exact, you shopped for bargain-priced merchandise on Craigslist.

In some cases, it’s still cheaper and more convenient to buy something in person. When that’s the case, Craigslist comes to your rescue.

You only have to browse by category or search by keyword to see if somebody’s selling something you need.

10. Jackthreads

Jackthreads is a shopping app available on the Google Play Store and might be a men’s designer label, but you can get a purchase discount if you hold one of the following occupations:

  • Military
  • First responder
  • Teacher
  • Student

To get additional savings, you can also search their clearance section to get up to 90% off. They also have a “3 for $20” section on clothing if you want to mix and match to get a discount.

11. Five Below

If you’re the parent of a teenager, Five Below is probably a store you’re familiar with. They have over 650 locations in many malls and shopping centers across the country and sell items for less the five dollars.

From electronics to fun things like slime and board games, Five Below is a fun place to shop in-person or online.

You will have to pay shipping charges for online orders but have the option for free in-store returns if necessary.

12. Poshmark

Do you want to buy designer clothing at a discount? You might consider Poshmark which is one of the largest online shopping sites for secondhand designer clothing.

It’s possible to search by brand or clothing type and your items are shipped via USPS Priority Mail.

Most of the items for sale on Poshmark are women’s clothing, but you can also buy men’s and women’s clothing too.

You can shop (or sell) on Poshmark with their website or app. Poshmark is another website that might be easier to navigate through the app instead of the computer website. However, it might come down to personal preference.

13. eBay

You can’t ignore one of the first online stores ever. Even though eBay doesn’t have a snappy new interface, it’s a well-respected online marketplace.

You can buy almost anything on eBay for free or low-cost shipping. You might enjoy the “Buy It Now” option to skip the auction and scoop up a good deal before everybody else.

Instead of buying new products from websites like Wish that don’t have a brand name, you might be able to find a similar used item for the same price.

Of course, new items are sold on eBay that ship from overseas and domestically.

EBay also has the eBay Bucks award program that helps you save on future purchases.

14. Amazon

It’s also impossible to ignore Amazon, the most dominant e-commerce platform at the moment.

As an Amazon Prime member, you might be able to get the same products you buy on Wish with free 2-day shipping.

Just like Wish has Blitz Buy and Express deals, Amazon offers time-sensitive promotions that can help you save a bundle too.

You might also prefer shopping on Amazon if you have Amazon gift cards to use. Because Amazon offers so many products, you can surely find something that is available on the Wish app.

15. Bonanza

Maybe you’ve been to Bonanza, and maybe this will be your first time. Bonanza is a community of 15,000+  sellers that sell clothing, electronics, art, and collectibles, to name a few product categories.

You can come here to buy name-brand items you can’t easily find on Wish. Some online shoppers prefer Bonanza to eBay and Amazon, so it’s worth looking if you like shopping on either marketplaces.

16. Mercari

Do you like buying secondhand items, but don’t want to meet in person to make the exchange? Mercari can be another good option.

While you’re getting brand new items with Wish, Mercari connects you with sellers who can sell their gently used items for a bargain.

You can receive the items sooner and even find unique items that maybe Wish and these other recommendations don’t have because they’re out of production.

With Mercari, the seller and you will determine who pays for shipping. Because you will most likely have to pay shipping on Wish, your shipping charges on Mercari shouldn’t be a dealbreaker.

17. Booksrun

If you like to read, Booksrun can help you find excellent deals on used books and rental textbooks. Books are one area where Wish might not always be a cheaper option. So, using another app can be a better use of your time.

When you’re ready to sell your used books back, you can sell them to Booksrun.

18. Shopkick

Shopkick app is available for iOS and Android devices and takes a very different approach to shop than Wish, but it’s one of the few ways you can get paid to shop.

With this app, you get paid for the following activities:

  • Walking into stores
  • Scanning product barcodes
  • Comparing product prices at online stores
  • Making in-store and online purchases
  • Watching videos

With each activity, you earn reward points called “kicks” that can be exchanged for gift cards. You can’t buy everything online from Wish and the other Wish alternatives, so Shopkick can be a fun alternative.

19. Cafepress

Although you might find that perfect novelty item on Wish, you may still want to create your own customized product on Cafepress.

For unique t-shirts, coffee mugs, stickers, and wacky accessories, you can find what you’re looking for here. Many items are priced at less than $20. You can also search the clearance section to find must-have bargains.

20. Poppin

For office furniture, you might also try Poppin. Free shipping is available on orders larger than $35.

Whether you need more desks, chairs, or storage, Poppin can offer better quality and product selection that you might not find elsewhere online.

21. One Kings Lane

When you want vintage furniture and decor without paying vintage prices, One Kings Lane can be the perfect match.

You will find vintage-looking items that might not be available anywhere else. Many websites don’t sell these items because they’re not in as high of demand, but that doesn’t mean you can’t find online bargains.

If you’re ready for a room makeover, One Kings Lane can fill those odds and ends you can’t find elsewhere.

22. Book Depository

As you might infer from its name, the Book Depository has a wide selection of books to choose from. You will find titles and recommendations that you might not see elsewhere which makes this a unique place to shop.

One of the reasons is that their two distribution centers are located in the United Kingdom and Australia. And, they offer free worldwide shipping.

The Book Depository offers very reasonable prices, which means you can get your hands on some excellent reads without breaking your wallet.

23. Harbor Freight

Harbor Freight is a low-cost alternative to home improvement stores like Lowes or Home Depot.

While Harbor Freight, you might not buy power tools that you plan on using daily for a long period of time, it’s a great option if you only need to use a particular tool a few times and don’t want to spend a lot.

As you know, power tools are heavy and can be expensive to ship. Some products that Harbor Freight carries might not be available elsewhere online because of shipping costs and restrictions.

Because power tools can also cost more than $100, you may also want a limited warranty that you can’t get online, either.

Why is Wish So Cheap?

The first question you might ask is why Wish is so cheap. The reason why is that Wish partners directly with the product maker.

In many cases, the product ships directly from Asia to your doorstep without passing through a middleman who marks up the price. Of course, some products are cheap because they aren’t manufactured by a name brand like Nike or Apple.

Although it’s possible to buy discount cell phones and other high-end electronics and fashion items from Wish, you may want to perform your due diligence to guarantee you’re buying a quality product the first time.

Don’t Forget About Shipping Charges

You will also need to pay attention to shipping charges, which aren’t included in the product price. Some shippers offer standard and expedited shipping.

Wish provides an estimated delivery date, which is very important because many items are shipped directly from Asia and can take several weeks to arrive with standard shipping.

One reason why you might consider other apps like Wish is that you can buy the same item for less at other websites because of free shipping. This isn’t always the case, but it’s something to keep in mind.

Summary

Wish is a very popular app that helps you find bargains for almost any item currently sold online. You might prefer these other websites and shopping apps like Wish for their free shipping policies or better product selection.

By using these Wish alternatives, you still save money compared to paying retail with the convenience of shopping online from anywhere in the world.

    1. That’s true, when I pulled it up it is not in English. However, the top of my screen asked if I wanted it translated to English. When I choose “yes” it does translate to English.
