20 Ways to Get Free Baby Stuff

According to BabyCenter, your baby’s first year of life may cost you $11,195. That’s a lot of money to spend on someone so small! Thankfully, there are lots of ways to get free baby stuff to help you out.

Of course, getting freebies for baby won’t completely cover your baby’s needs. But they should help you make more informed decisions on which formula, diapers, and other products to buy.

Companies who make baby products want parents to try their items so that parents can become loyal customers. You can easily find free diapers, free formula, free toiletries, and more.

How to Get Free Baby Stuff

Whether you’ve got a baby on the way or have just welcomed a little one to your family, there are lots of ways to get free baby stuff online, by mail, or in-store.

Note that some of the freebies for babies in this list may require a shipping charge, but we’ve noted that where applicable.

1. Free Welcome Box from Amazon

If you’re expecting, you’ll want to start a baby registry so friends and family can help you stock up for your little one’s arrival.

It’s free to create an Amazon Baby Registry, and if you’re a Prime member, you’ll also qualify for a free Welcome Box as a thank-you from Amazon.

This box has a value of up to $35 and includes items for both parents and babies.

To get your free Welcome Box, you’ll need to take these steps:

  • Join Amazon Prime. While creating a Baby Registry is open to all customers, the Welcome Box is only available to Prime members.
  • Complete at least 60% of your Registry Checklist. Add products from their suggested categories to your registry or just mark each category as complete.
  • Purchase at least $10 worth of items from your Registry. You can do this yourself or wait until someone gifts you an item off your registry.

Once the purchased items have shipped, you’ll be able to log in to your account and request your free box (with free shipping, too!).

Other Amazon Baby Registry Perks include a 15% completion discount, free 365-day returns, group gifting, and more.

2. Free Goody Bag from buybuy BABY

buybuy BABY also gives a free gift to expectant parents: a free goody bag! This goody bag is full of samples and a buybuy BABY coupon to help you save.

The catch? The free goody bag is only available in stores, and there aren’t a lot of physical buybuy BABY locations. (My state only has one store!)

You can start your Baby Registry online and then pick up your free goody bag the next time you’re at the store.

3. Free Welcome Kit from Target

Sign up for a baby registry at Target to receive a free welcome kit full of good stuff (valued at $100) for you and your baby.

After creating your registry, you’ll see a Welcome Kit offer added to your Target Circle offer list on the app and the website. (Check the Baby Registry category if you’re having trouble finding it.)

You can either pick up your welcome kit at Guest Services in the store or have it shipped directly to you for free with an additional purchase of $35 or more.

Note that the welcome kit is subject to store availability, so you may want to call ahead to see if your local store has them before you make a special trip.

Other Target Baby Registry Perks include a 15% discount, free returns and exchanges for a year, access to exclusive deals, and more.

4. Free Welcome Box from Walmart

Create a Walmart Baby Registry and you can sign up for a free Welcome Box. What makes this deal especially awesome is that it will ship to you for free!

9. Free Rewards from Pampers Club

Some parents (me included) are very brand loyal to diapers. If Pampers is your brand, be sure to sign up for Pampers Club to turn all those diapers and wipes purchases into rewards.

It’s very easy to earn rewards: just scan the codes on your Pampers packs via the app and collect Pampers Cash that you can turn into rewards.

Rewards include Pampers coupons as well as photo cards, gift cards, and even straight cash to your PayPal account. The best reward I ever got from Pampers Club was a PlasmaCar riding toy that we still use today!

PS – If you like Pampers and other P&G products, sign up for P&G Good Everyday Rewards to get access to high-value coupons and rewards on their popular brands.

10. Free Rewards from Huggies Rewards+

Prefer Huggies? They have a rewards program, too! It’s called Huggies Rewards+ and works in conjunction with the Fetch Rewards app to reward you for purchasing Huggies, Pull-Ups, and Goodnites products.

Redeem your points for fun T-shirts or popular gift cards like Amazon, Starbucks, Target, and more.

16. Free Baby Leggings (5 Pairs)

My first two babies had super chunky thighs, so my go-to outfit for them was a onesie plus a pair of super adorable leg warmers.

That way I didn’t have to struggle to get pants over their rolls and it made diaper changes easier, too!

Get five pairs of free baby leggings from BabyLeggings.com – a $50 value! Use the coupon code PJBABY when you add your choice of leggings and pay $14.72 for shipping.

One benefit of your Prime membership you may have overlooked is Prime Reading. You can get access to digital audiobooks, books, and magazines for free!
